What's Been Happening

Gentlemen,

I just received the following information from Dan Bean, JHNSA President; via Dave Myerly:

Please consider this and pass it on to your crew mates so those interested may think about making plans. Some said last year the first notice of dates was made too late for them to consider attending.

JHNSA Event Dates - October 12 & 13, 2012 Jacksonville, Florida (More details will be posted on the web sites as available)

Per Dan, - Our JHNSA Gala Committee has already met three times. We look forward to seeing you all there. More to follow but the dates are locked in.

This link will take you to the latest news bulletin from the JHNSA/ACVA.

DDG-2 Message Forum

I have added a direct link to the DDG-2 Message Forum in the Menu Bar (above), in hopes that it will get more use.

About this site

This is a personal website for the men who served on the USS Charles F. Adams (DDG-2) and their families. I am one of the Directors and the Webmaster for the Adams Class Veterans Association, Inc. (ACVA) and act as the designated representative to the ACVA for DDG-2. As the ACVA DDG-2 Rep., it is my responsibility to pass on to former Adams crewmen, their families, and other interested parties the status of the ACVA's efforts to:

  • (A) save the Charles F. Adams and

  • (B) convert her into a museum which will represent ALL of the Adams Class DDG's and their crews.

This is NOT a DDG-2 Association website, since DDG-2 does not have an association at this time. Dave Myerly, another former Adams crewman, is attempting to get a DDG-2 Association going, contact him if you are interested in becoming a part of such an association.
